Join in on a discussion about how ASA members host their annual conferences and trade shows. From pre-event logistics, to post-event follow ups, ASA members can learn from each other and find opportunities to boost their event planning skills.

Sample of discussion questions:

Pre-Event Logistics:
  • What marketing and promotion strategies have proven effective for you?
  • How do you solicit event sponsors/exhibitors?
  • What is your tradeshow floor layout and offerings?
  • How do you streamline attendee registration and check-in?
On-site Execution:
  • What steps do you take to make sure sessions run smoothly and speakers feel supported?
  • What role do board members/volunteers play on-site?
  • What type of educational sessions have been the most impactful for your members? (Keynotes, breakouts, show-floor education, group activities, etc.)
Post-Event Follow-Up and Debriefing:
  • Do you survey attendees and if so, what do you do with that information?
  • How quickly do you begin planning the subsequent year?
